OPOS Homemade Paneer | OPOS Recipe

 I hate making paneer at home in normal method .Its takes a long time and standing near by and stirring etc....hate hate to make paneer.
After saw the video tried and wonder that paneer is very soft and juicy.Thxs to RK sir,who is the founder of the OPOS Recipe.

Ingredients

Full Fat Milk -1 L
Curd -1/2 Cup

Method

*In 5L Pc add milk and curd.Cook at high flame for 5 whistle.
 *Once the pressure settled down filter it .

 *And Mould it for an hour.
*Then refrigerate the paneer for 1 hour and cut into desired shape.

OPOS Ghee / OPOS Recipe


Can you believe you can made ghee in pressure cooker.Yes,now-a-days making ghee at home is never a tiring process.After 2 trials i got this golden beauty.

First 2 attempts i got burnt ghee becoz i went to 8 whistle at first time.Then second time i went to 7 whistle.I dont know where i went to wrong.

Then again saw the method in youtube i realized my mistake ,that is i used 500 gm butter and used 5L Pc.

3 rd time,when i got 5 whistle and crackling sound,switch off the flame.Got the beautiful golden ghee.Thxs to RK sir,who is the founder of the OPOS Recipe.

Ingredients.

Salted Butter -500 gms
Drum stick leaves -1 tbsp 

OR
Curry leaves - few.

Method

*In 5L pc add the butter directly from the fridge.Above butter put the curry leaves or drumstick leaves (I forget to take the pic when i add drumstick leaves).



*Close the lid and put the weight,cook on high flame .After you got 5 whistles and also hearing crackling sound,switch off the flame.

*Release the pressure now you got beautiful ghee.

*Once it cooled ,strained it !!

MY NOTES

*If you are using 2L PC and 250 gms butter then you will end up with 8 whistles.

Homemade Sambar Powder | Sambar Powder Recipe

When i visited to india last year ,i prepared sambar powder in bulk and packed it in 1/2 kg in individiual pack it for long shelf life.

Now let us know what are the things we need to prepare.Also i add kashmiri red chilli for bright colour.

Ingredients

Coriander Seeds - 1/2 kg
Dry Red chillies  -1 kg
Kashmiri Red chillies -1/4 kg
Channa Dal(Kadala Paruppu) -1/4 kg
Tuvar Dal(Thuvaram Paruppu) -1/4 kg
Pepper(Milagu) - 125 gm
Urad Dal(Ulutham Paruppu) - 25 gm
Fenugreek Seeds(Vendayam) -125 gm
Sticks of Turmeric (Virali Manjal )- 1/4 kg
Cumin seeds(Jeera) - 1/4 kg
Raw Rice (Pacha arisi)-25 gm(optional)


Method
*Dry the all ingredients in direct sun light for 2-3 days.Mix it all ingredients and grind it in  a mill to a fine powder.

*Then spread it in a plate to cool the powder and stored it in a ir tight container.

MY NOTES
*Always use dry spoon while handling the powder.

Homemade Nalangu Maavu | Herbal Bath Powder | How To Make Homemade Herbal Bath Powder

Herbal Bath Powder is very easy to make at home and doesnt have any side effects to our skin.All  ingredients needed for herbal bath powder  are easily available in Ayurvedha shop or Nattu Marundhu Kadai .

I always love to make my own herbal bath powder,when i visited to india last year i prepared it for myself and my daughter.

This powder can be used as substitute for soap.

It delays aging of skin.

It can be also use for facepack.

Regular use of this powder makes your skin so soft,smooth and silky.

Needless to say it can be also used for toddlers.

Ingredients

Channa Dal(Kadala Paruppu) - 1kg
Green gram(Pachai Payaru) -1 kg
Wild Turmeric(Kasturi Manjal ) -200 gm
Multani Metti -250 gm
Dried Orange Peel Powder - 200 gm
Dried Neem Powder  - 200 gm
Dried Tulsi Powder -200 gm
Dried Rose Petal Powder - 200 gm
Khus(Vetti Ver ) Powder - 250 gm
Javvadu Powder - 12 gm (optional) (But i recomment to add)
Spiked Ginger (Poolankizhangu /White Turmeric) powder - 100 gm

Method

*Dry channa dal and green gram in the sun for 2 -3 days.

*Then it ground in the mill to a fine powder.

*Once it cooled mix the other ingredients ,store it in airtight container.

HOW TO USE

*Take a required quantity ,mix with little water to make a paste.Use this paste instead of soap.

*Regular use of this powder you will notice that your skin will be silky,soft,and glowing.

*For Normal Skin mix the powder with water / curd /honey.

*For Oil skin add honey to mix and use

MY NOTES

*Always use dry spoon for longlife.

*You can also use  instead of channa dal and green gram use gram flour and  green gram flour.It also available Ayurvedha shop.

*Wild Turmeric reduces facial hair growth.Also this turmeric doent leave a yellow colour in face.

*Vettiver is a aromatic grass  which has contain cooling properties,reduces acne,sores.

*Neem leaves and Tulsi leaves  are anti bacterial and anti inflammatory properties ,cures many skin problems.

*You can also use Aavarampoo,Melon seeds,

*You can also use this powder as dry scrub by simply scrubbing the skin and washing it off with water.

DIY Homemade Murukku Mix | Diwali recipes

Last year i went to india for vacation ,i asked my aunty to prepare murukku mix for me.Her preparation in murukku was always white in colour hence i asked.Kindly she prepared and packed the flour and gave to me.Immediately i asked for recipe and noted it.

Ingredients:
Raw Rice - 1 kg ( 5 cups)
Split yellow moongdal -200 gm ( 1 cup)
Whole white urad dal -100 gm(1/2 cup )
Roasted raw rice - hand fistful

Method:

*Wash the 1 kg raw rice,drain the water completely.Spread it in a clean cloth and let it dry in sunlight for a day.

*In seperate cloth spread the moongdal and urad dal .Dry it too in a sunlight.

*Roasted rice is nothing but take handful of rawrice and dry roast it kadai in medium flame without change the colour.let it cool.

*Once it dried the all ingredients,mix it well grind it in a mill to a fine powder.

*Then spread it in paper to cool and stored it in a airtight container.

MY NOTES:

*In case if you dont have a sunlight in your place dry the raw rice in room temperature,grind it in mixie little by little to fine powder.And dry roast it kadai and again sieve it.

*Also dry roast the moongdal,urad dal seperately grind it to a fine powder and sieve it.
