Making Mutton Kurma in normal method is long time to prepare.After i cook in opos its very easy to prepare and tasty too...Thxs to RK sir,who is the founder of the OPOS Recipe.
Ingredients
Mutton - 1/2 kg
Onion -2 big(Chopped
Tomato -1 big (Chopped)
Salt - To taste
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Oil- 1tbsp
Water -1 cup
Whole garam masala - 1 each (bay leaf,clove,star anise &cardamom)
Chopped mint &coriander leaves - hand fistful
Lemon juice -2 tsp
To Grind
Grated Coconut - 1/4 cup
Cashews -5
Poppy seed -1 tsp(soak in hot for 10 mins)
OPOS Ginger Garlic Paste -1 tsp
Coriander Powder -1 tbsp
Green chillies -6
Turmeric Powder -1/2 tsp
Method
*Grind the ingredients given under"TO GRIND" to a fine paste by adding less water.
*In PC add 1 cup water+Ghee+Oil+Whole garam masala+ Chopped Onion
*Followed By chopped tomato.
*Then by cleaned&washed mutton+coconut paste+salt+Chopped mint&coriander leaves.
*Cook at high flame for 8 whistles.Once the pressure settled down open and add lemon juice and mix.
MY NOTES
*I add green chillies instead of red chilli powder hence the colour.
*In this recipe if you omit turmeric powder its called white kurma.
*Serve with ghee rice,idli & dosa,roti too..
